Egypt - Effective July 19th, 2010 the Egyptian Consulate in San Francisco closed.  A new Egyptian Consulate has opened in Los Angeles. Travisa can process visas for applicants from any part of the United States; our Los Angeles office will soon be able to process applications for residents on the West Coast.

United Kingdom - Effective May 31st, 2010 the British Government will offer Priority Processing of visa applications. Applicants who select this service and pay the additional government fee of $150 fee on-line can submit their visa applications through Travisa; the British Consulate prioritize these applications and will process the request within 24-48 hours.

Brazil - Effective May 28th, 2010 due to agreement between the Governments of Brazil and the United States of America, the Brazilian Consulates will begin to issue business and tourist visas valid for up to 10 years to US citizens, at the discretion of the Consular Officer of Brazil.

Mexico - Effective May 1st, 2010 citizens of any country holding a valid US Permanent Resident Card (greencard) or valid US visa will not require a Mexican visa to travel to Mexico for tourism, business or transit.

Yemen - Effective January 21st, 2010 no visas will be issued upon arrival in Yemen. Travelers must obtain the appropriate visa in advance.

Brazil - Effective January 11th, 2010 US passport holders will no longer be required to enter Brazil within 90 days to activate their visa. It will be valid for the length of the visa, making it easier to re-enter Brazil at a later time in the event a trip is canceled or postponed.

Sweden - Effective January 4th, 2010 the Consulate General of Sweden in New York will be closed. An Honorary Consulate will open to provide some services, though visa applications should now be sent to Travisa in Washington DC.

India - Effective March 18th, 2010, the Indian government has introduced new requirements for Conference Visas including clearance letters from the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, State Government and Nodal Ministry. India - Effective January 25th, 2010 the Indian government will no longer accept a school diploma in place of the applicant's birth certificate requirement.
